Welcome to Southwold at Christmas...Final preparations are taking place for the 2011 Switch On which takes place on Friday 2nd December. Switch on Southwold are delighted to announce that a very special celebrity will be coming to town to do the actual Switch On. “Grandpa” (James Bolam) from the hugely popular CBeebies show “Grandpa in my Pocket” will be joined by Aunt Loretta (Susan Jameson) on the balcony of the town hall. Events start in the Market Square at 5pm with local choirs singing carols. The Southwold Corps of Drums will lead Father Christmas up the High Street at 6.45pm and the Switch On will take place at 7pm on the Town Hall Balcony. "Bringing the community together at Christmas"
